This full day tour will take you to higher elevation birding around Ojai and further up to Pine Mountain and points beyond! During our tour we will spend our time seeking out some of the harder to find montane species that inhabit Ventura County. Mountain Quail, White-headed Woodpecker, and the adorable Mountain Chickadee among others! Along the way, we’ll stop at several hotspots looking for seasonal visitors like Black-chinned and Calliope Hummingbirds, Western Tanagers, Scott’s Oriole, and Hermit Warbler.

Frank the Bird Guy
Frank is an avid birdwatcher whose passion for birds has led him to serve on the board of both Ventura Audubon Society and Conejo Valley Audubon Society where he is currently President. He is the owner of the Wild Birds Unlimited store in Ventura as well as the coordinator and compiler for the Ventura Christmas Bird Count. During the pandemic, Frank began offering bird education classes online as “Frank the Bird Guy” and has shared the joy of birds with thousands worldwide.
