Nightjars

Nightjars are nocturnal birds found worldwide. They are known for their excellent camouflage, resembling bark or leaves, and their wide mouths used for catching insects on the wing. Nightjars have long wings and are strong fliers. They lay their eggs directly on the ground, often camouflaged among leaves or rocks.
