Rachel Clark – Central California Birding Tours
Central California Birding Tours is owned and operated by Rachel Clark, who was born and raised in the central San Joaquin Valley. Rachel began birding at the age of nine when a Western Tanager landed in a mulberry tree in her parents’ backyard. From then on, she was completely obsessed, and all time spent out in nature took on a new meaning as she sought to see as many species as she could. Rachel has a degree in Animal Ecology from Iowa State University, and has worked as a Wildlife Biologist for over 10 years. After co-leading birding tours in various locations across the U.S., Rachel decided that guiding was what she really wanted to do. She founded Central California Birding Tours in June 2023, and has since guided people from across the U.S. and many places across the globe.
