Aracari Tours by Eddy
I have a bachelor’s degree in Alternative Tourism and have worked on various projects with biologists, monitoring different areas of the Yucatán Peninsula. For my thesis, I focused on recognizing the diversity of species in my Mayan community. I have also volunteered to teach children about the importance of birds. Now, I run my own birding agency, where I work alongside other guides when I’m unavailable. My goal is to support local Mayan guides like myself and create exceptional birding experiences rooted in local knowledge.

Carli –
We had an incredible birding tour with Eddy in Tulum! His knowledge of the local birdlife and the ecosystems they inhabit is exceptional, and he made the entire experience both educational and exciting. Eddy took us to a variety of great birding spots, helping us see a wide range of species, including the Yucatan Jay, Rose-throated Tanager, and Keel-billed Toucan!
One of the highlights was his amazing ferruginous pygmy owl call – he was so good that even the Merlin Bird ID app picked it up and identified it as a real owl nearby! That moment really captured how skilled and passionate Eddy is. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced birder, we highly recommend booking a tour with him. It was a true highlight of our trip and we’re thrilled to have him aboard 10000 Bird Tours!
