A lifelong naturalist, I grew up in New England with a passion for wildlife, earning a BS in wildlife biology from the University of Maine. My career has spanned environmental research, adventure guiding, and instructing for NOLS, leading expeditions across 15 countries. As a photographer, filmmaker, and writer, my work has appeared in National Geographic, The New York Times, and more. In 2010, my wife and I launched an international adventure travel business, later settling in Las Vegas to focus on local guiding. A certified Nevada Naturalist and Vice President of Red Rock Audubon Society, I now specialize in bird photography and conservation in Southern Nevada.
