Your day begins with an early pickup and a guided walk around Lake Cobá, where you’ll search for water birds such as Snail Kite, Purple Gallinule, Spotted Rail, and Ruddy Crake, along with colorful songbirds including orioles, tanagers, and seedeaters.
As the archaeological site opens, you’ll be among the first to enter. Birding among the ruins and jungle trails, you may encounter the striking Ocellated Turkey, Turquoise-browed Motmot, Collared Aracari, Black Catbird, Rose-throated Tanager, Orange Oriole, multiple species of trogons and woodpeckers, and the charismatic Yucatán Jay.
