Starlings are highly social birds, often forming large flocks that can number in the thousands. They are found across much of the world, and many species are known for their iridescent plumage and ability to mimic sounds. Starlings are omnivorous, consuming insects, fruits, seeds, and nectar. They often nest in cavities, sometimes causing problems for native cavity-nesting species.
