Puffbirds
Puffbirds are medium-sized birds found in the Neotropical forests. They are characterized by their large heads, stout bodies, and thick bills. Their plumage is often cryptic, blending in with their surroundings, and they have a characteristic “puffed-up” appearance. Puffbirds are primarily insectivorous, perching quietly and sallying out to catch prey. They nest in burrows or tree cavities.
