Olive Warbler
Peucedramidae is a small family of passerine birds endemic to Mexico and the southwestern United States, containing only one species: the Olive Warbler. This small, insectivorous bird inhabits pine-oak woodlands, foraging among foliage for insects and other invertebrates. The Olive Warbler is characterized by its distinctive olive-gray plumage, with males displaying a bright orange head and breast during breeding season. It builds a cup-shaped nest in trees and is known for its relatively quiet vocalizations. The Olive Warbler’s taxonomic placement has been debated in the past, but it is now generally accepted as belonging to its own family.
