Mark Korducki
I began birding at the age of five after my Dad gave me a Peterson Field Guide. I absorbed this book like a sponge and began identifying birds in the yard and while out in the field on family fishing trips. This interest continued throughout my life and now, 50 years later, I have decided to start my own tour company to share my love of birding and travel with others. I have led tours for 2 other companies and have enjoyed finding life birds for a number of fun and passionate birders. My goal is to show target birds to small groups or individuals and to provide a fun and relaxed tour experience.
I have worked as a Physical Therapist for the past three decades but have stayed very active in the birding community. I have done some local guiding and have led tours throughout the United States. I have been an active volunteer in the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology (WSO) for many years. I was the long time voice of the WSO rare bird hotline and I served on the Records Committee for 20 years.
Currently, I serve as the Wisconsin Coordinator for the Breeding Bird Survey which is run by the United States Geological Survey. My field work includes the Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas, Christmas Bird Counts and May Counts, and running my own Breeding Bird Survey route since 1996. I am very passionate about bird field work and conservation.
I look forward to seeing you on one of my tours!
